Never miss annual vaccination of your dog! If you cannot do vaccination in time, do it before the appointed time, but not later!
Some dog owners do first vaccination of very young animal. Vaccine can be not so effective, but complications of early vaccination can lead to very serious consequences. It is ideal to begin vaccination, when your doggy is on its 60th day of life.
Do not buy a vaccine in pet-shops! The vaccine bought there can be cheaper, but can be downscaled and will hell on your animal.
If your pet died, don’t buy a new puppy, even if your children ask you, because you can find it being infected with the same disease after a while. The virus can be in environment up to 1 year! Even disinfecting does not guarantee an annihilation of virus. After disinfecting of the place, where your dead dog had lived, with chlorine it is necessary to wait for a year minimum before taking another animal.
When buying an animal, it is necessary to take from a seller a “guarantee” from viruses for 10-15 days. If your puppy gets ill during this period, it means that it was infected earlier and the seller would be obliged to return your money.
Do not leave your dog in special “hotels for animals” if they can’t give you a certificate of vaccination of all dogs and cats, which stay there!
Even if you have made all vaccines precisely in time, do not allow your dog to be in contact with sick animals! Any veterinary clinic cannot guarantee you 100 % effect, each organism responds to a vaccine in its own way. That’s why the odds are that your pet is not completely protected against disease.
