Pet training has many advantages. It allows animals to exercise their intelligence in constructive ways, stops them from engaging in destructive behavior and keeps them under your control. Learning to perform actions or tricks on command can be fun for pets if they get plenty of affection and encouragement in the process. This is why the most successful form of training uses positive reinforcement.

Animals naturally learn to repeat actions that lead to desirable outcomes. Positive reinforcement works by rewarding pets when they do something right as opposed to punishing them when they do something wrong. Rewards in the form of a human praise combined with a food treat are highly effective.

You’ve probably already trained your pet through positive reinforcement without realizing it. If a dog or cat scratches at the door and you open it, they learn to associate the behavior of scratching with the reward of going outside. You reinforce the behavior every time you let them out when they scratch.

Intentional, rather than accidental, training involves getting pets to respond on command. Envision the specific action you want the pet to perform and come up with a single word to trigger it. Cue words of one syllable such as ‘stay’ or ‘come’ are less likely to confuse an animal than more complex commands.

As soon as your pet performs an action in response to a command, reward him with enthusiastic praise and a tasty treat. Always give the reward before the animal engages in any other behavior. If you are teaching a dog to obey the command ‘sit’, praise and feed him while he is still in a sitting position. If he moves first, he may think he is being rewarded for standing up.

To teach an animal to get off the bed or sofa, chose a simple command like ‘off’. When you find your pet sitting on the furniture, get a food treat and hide it in your hand. Stand over the animal, loudly and clearly say ‘off’ and gently push her to the floor. Immediately praise her and hold the treat to her mouth. Do this every time you catch her sitting where she’s not allowed. Eventually, she will jump off the furniture in response to your command, without the accompanying push.

When an animal has learned to reliably respond to the cue word, you can gradually stop rewarding her with treats. But do persist in offering praise and affection in return for good behavior. Dogs are eager to please their owners and generally require no other motivation. Depending on their individual personalities, and the extent to which they have bonded with their owners, some cats and birds will also continue to obey commands once the food incentive is withdrawn.

Pet training requires patience on the part of both the teacher and the pupil. There will be good days and bad days. Do not continue with a dog training Kelowna session if your pet seems tired or distracted. Never resort to scolding or punishment for bad performance. This will cause your animal to associate the cue word with negative consequences. Training should be an enjoyable experience that both you and your pet will be keen to repeat.

Training a puppy can be frustrating, dog training requires discipline and consistancy. When experiencing problems, consult a professional. Bark Busters offer a reliable and affordable service for house puppy training.

Dogs love to be around their owners. They’re sorry to see them leave, and are always happy when they return. The bond a canine feels with his owner makes him unhappy when separated from him. This is normal. Some dogs, however, become especially agitated when they suspect their owners are leaving them. They may loudly vocalize their displeasure, or adopt destructive behaviors that manifest in several ways (e.g. digging, destroying furniture, etc.). This is called separation anxiety.

Below, we’ll explore why many canines become anxious whenever they are separated from their owners. We’ll also describe some of the common symptoms of the problem, and provide a few tips for addressing them.

Why Your Absence Might Cause Your Dog Stress

In nearly all cases of separation anxiety, there is some type of social dysfunction in the canine’s past. For example, he may have spent his early years in a puppy mill. Such dogs are usually deprived of socialization and human contact (aside from the rough treatment of the mill’s employees). When they receive both from loving owners, they gravitate toward them. When their owners leave, the possibility of losing these things causes them stress.

Another possible cause is that the canine has been exposed to multiple owners. Many dogs go from household to shelter to household to shelter, which prevents them from developing any degree of security in their surroundings. Because they fear being abandoned again, they become anxious whenever their current owner departs.

Your pet may also show signs of distress when you leave if he has experienced something traumatic in his past. For example, he may have been confronted with his previous owner having passed away, leaving him trapped inside the house.

Common Signs Of Separation Anxiety

Many behaviors that stem from separation anxiety are destructive in nature, but result from the dog trying to relieve the tension he feels. For example, suppose you left your canine inside your home to go to the office for the day. If he becomes anxious due to being separated from you, he might perceive the doors in your home as barriers. As a result, he may scratch them in an attempt to get through.

Other behaviors include urinating and defecating inside the home, persistent whining, salivating, and even diarrhea. Your dog may also pace back and forth to help relieve the stress he feels. When you arrive at home, he may not let you out of his sight, a behavior motivated by nervousness that you may leave him again.

Tips For Minimizing Separation Anxiety

The most effective solution for reducing your canine’s anxiety is to help him grow accustomed to your being away. First, avoid making a big deal about leaving and returning home. Ignore your dog fifteen minutes prior to leaving, and likewise when you return.

Second, give him something to chew on during the time leading up to your departure. This will help him form a connection between your leaving and something he enjoys.

Third, give your canine plenty of exercise. A single walk each day should be considered a minimum. Take more, if possible. Not only does this help him expend his energy, and thus keep boredom at bay, but it will also give him a chance to broaden his view of the world. This might encourage him to be less dependent on you, and less anxious when you leave.

Fourth, confine your canine to an area of your home for short periods to help him grow comfortable with being separated from you. Start with five minutes and gradually add more time.

The challenge in minimizing your dog’s separation anxiety is helping him understand that you will return to him, despite his experiences with others in the past. Keep in mind that modifying his expectations and gaining his trust takes time. With diligence, however, you can help your dog overcome his anxiety.

So you have decided to buy an insulated dog house. That is a very good decision. Insulated dog houses are necessary tools that helps your dog feel comfortable. At that time the houses were made of mud. That in itself was a good form of insulation for the dogs but today “mud made dog houses” are not used anymore. The good thing about dog houses is that they provide shelter for the dog especially during extreme changes in the weather. When the dog house is insulated your dog can always use it as a refuge when it is too cold or too hot outside.

There are many types of insulated dog houses. so it may get confusion when you want to choose one. This is what this article is all about. We are trying to point out the important factors that you should take into consideration when buying an insulated dog house.

The most important thing is definitely the material the kennel has to be made of. One thing about dog house is that if it is made of the wrong material, it may not play its purpose of insulating the dog from the sometimes harsh conditions of the weather. There are 3 types of materials that are usually used in building insulated dog houses. they are:

    * iron
* plastic
* wood

I should go straight away and tell you, never buy an kennel made of iron. Iron just isn’t good at keeping the environment warm. Iron is a material that changes temperature in relation to the environment very quickly so don’t go for dog houses made with iron.

Plastic is known to be a good insulator and a lot of dog owners enjoy using plastic dog house for the simple reason that it is much more affordable, it is also easy to carry around. But that goes with some other weaknesses. The fact is plastic does not protect that much from extreme changes in temperature, like in the winter. It protects to a certain extent but there are better materials out there that will do a better job of protecting your puppy.

Another thing about plastic houses is that over time they end up cracking through the influence of the sun. So you may end up seeing cracks around the kennel. That said, plastic do protect from insects and a lot of dog owners are OK with it.

Wood is known the be the most appropriate material when it comes to protecting your dog from extreme weather temperature. If you are serious about protecting your dog from extreme changes in the weather then you should go for a wood dog house. It should be noted though that “wood made dog houses” are much more expensive compared to the ones made of plastic or iron but the investment is worth the while as the dog is going to enjoy full protection for a very long time.

Wood dog house in itself may come with some other weaknesses; the major one being:

because it is made of wood, it may be attacked by termites and other wood eating insects. That is why is always advised to go for best quality wood made dog houses. The best quality are known to be cedar wood. Cedar wood dog houses are top quality dog houses, resistant to weather, insects, decay and less prone to mold.

There you have it. the best choice is cedar dog house. That is a little bit more expensive than the other dog houses but trust me, in the long run you will not regret having bought it. Your dog and you are going to enjoy it for a very long, long time. Go for it.

If you intend to buy an insulated dog house then you should check out my website where i make the best recommendations of insulated dog house you should go for.

Like most people, canines love food. They’re willing to sacrifice their dignity in order to obtain it. If food is not given freely, but instead eaten in front of them, they will beg. Some will do so relentlessly.

A begging dog can be particularly frustrating for his owner. He’ll sit and stare longingly at his owner’s plate, hoping to receive a tasty morsel, regardless of size. Unfortunately, many people acquiesce under the pressure, and give their pets table scraps just to send them away. This is a bad idea for a number of reasons.

Below, we’ll explain the side effects table scraps can have on your canine; you’ll learn the reasons you should avoid providing them. We’ll also describe a few methods you can use to discourage the behavior, so you and your family can eat in peace.

Reasons To Avoid Feeding Your Pet Table Scraps

Commercial brands of dog food are specially formulated with the nutrients your pet needs to stay healthy. The vitamins and minerals contained in these brands are necessary for whatever stage of development your canine is in. Table scraps rarely provide the same level of nutrition. Instead, they usually deliver excess calories, which are likely to cause weight problems for your pet. And that leads to avoidable health issues.

Another reason to avoid giving your dog table scraps is because doing so can lead to digestive problems. Even though your pet will eat anything placed in front of him, his body may be unable to tolerate some types of food.

Also, given a steady diet of people food, your canine may eventually become fussy with his own meals. He’ll essentially acquire a taste for the foods you feed your family. And that’s when his begging will begin to take on a new level of urgency.

Preventing Access To Your Table

This method removes your pet’s opportunity to beg. You can use a couple of different approaches depending on whether you would like your canine to remain in the room in which you’re eating, or to stay out.

If you’d like his company in the room, place a lead and collar on him, and secure him to a nearby chair or other piece of furniture. He should be kept far enough away from the table to minimize the temptation to beg. Consider providing a chew toy to give him something to do while you and your family eat.

You can also bar him from the room, which can be done easily with a baby gate. Confine your dog to a room elsewhere in your home, so he’s unable to watch you eat through the gate. This will prevent him from whining to gain your attention.

Sending Him Elsewhere

This method requires more time and patience since there is training involved. The goal is to give your canine something to do elsewhere in your home without confining him to that particular space. You’ll need to train him to stay in his space while you and your family enjoy meals.

At first, your dog will be tempted to abandon his designated spot, and come looking for table scraps. Over time, however, you can teach him to remain there, thereby preventing him from begging.

This method has the added benefit of being helpful in other circumstances. For example, suppose you’re entertaining guests, and would like to prevent your canine from bothering them. Simply instruct him to go to his designated space while your guests are visiting. As long as he has a few toys to occupy his attention, he’ll be fine.

When your dog begs, he does so because he has an expectation his begging will produce results. This is the reason owners who have given in to their canines in the past find it difficult to curb the behavior. But it’s never too late.

Dogs love to chase vehicles. Unfortunately, doing so often leads to their injury or death. In some cases, they chase an automobile until it stops, at which point they run into its back end, and damage their spine. In other cases, the canine is hit by another car.

Another problem is that drivers who see dogs lunging into the street are likely to brake quickly, or swerve into oncoming traffic. This poses a serious danger to other drivers and pedestrians.

In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the reasons canines chase vehicles. If you’re able to pinpoint the trigger, you’ll be more effective in curbing the tendency. We’ll then offer a few suggestions for discouraging the behavior in your pooch.

Understanding Why Dogs Chase Cars

Your dog is a natural predator, even if he doesn’t seem so. This can manifest in different ways. For example, if given the opportunity, he’ll stalk and chase small rodents. If he happens to corner one, he’ll rarely follow through in harming it. The reason? Because stalking his prey is a game for him. He has no intention of harming or killing the rodent.

The same is true when your canine chases people riding bicycles, kids on skateboards, or even other pets. It is the mark of a normal, happy, and well-balanced pooch socializing with others.

There are a few breeds that have a stronger predatorial sense than most. For them, the act of stalking and catching their prey is not a game. If they catch their prey, there is a good chance they will kill it. While this level of stalking is rarely directed toward vehicles, it is possible. It is also difficult to control.

Even though chasing cars comes naturally to a dog, the tendency can be discouraged before it becomes a problem. The key is addressing the behavior as early as possible.

Preventing The Problem Before It Starts

When your canine first shows signs of interest in passing vehicles, immediately call his name to capture his attention. Once he looks at you, and keeps his eyes on you, praise him and give him a treat. This trains him to understand that ignoring traffic and giving you his attention when you call results in a positive outcome. This will prove invaluable if you accidentally release his leash while traffic is passing nearby.

A lot of owners assume that because their pets only chase vehicles while behind a fence, the behavior poses no danger. In reality, it does since the tendency reinforces itself. Eventually, your dog may jump into the fence out of excitement, harming himself in the process. Thus, you should take the time to curb the behavior.

Curbing An Existing Tendency To Chase

If your canine has already developed a habit of chasing cars, you’ll need to first test his ability to come when you call him. This is critical. Everything revolves around his perception that you are the priority. Start by testing him in a quiet environment with no distractions.

After he consistently responds to your commands, take him to a park or similar setting that offers distractions without the danger of traffic. This will teach him to ignore other things, and focus his attention on you.

Next, test his ability to focus near semi-busy streets. Make sure you keep a tight hold on his leash to prevent him from bolting into traffic. Many dogs will respond consistently to their owners at home or at a park, but will lose their focus when presented with the opportunity to chase a car. Be wary.

Many canines have been injured or killed as the result of chasing vehicles. Train your dog to ignore traffic, and listen to your voice. It may one day save his life.

How to choose a coach?

We often think of the traditional categories – took the dog – to take her to a dog school!

Frankly, I would not trust my dog to any coach, when I want to get out of her only obedience in everyday situations and the dog was not preparing for some special service. Eventually, your dog – it is a member of your family, you should find contact with it and build their relationship. In this case the coach – if you do decide to engage in dog school – is to help you with this.

Important
Many of the problems encountered by the owner with his dog, laid it on the training field! Imagine you are taught in school, where force load knowledge, yell at you for the slightest mistake, forced to learn to exhaustion. To all this added to the nauseating smell and noise of other students. Will you be pleased to learn in such circumstances? Do you want to apply their knowledge in this way in practice? Of course not!

As the basis for training people and dogs are the same mechanisms, we may well use the situation you describe the dog.

All the stimuli that the dog perceives the surrounding world during the exercises, such as your clothes, the smells, sounds, other dogs and people, perhaps even seemingly subtle little things, for example, flying a plane in a dog associated with learned by the teams. And if the dog did not feel well during training, some of these stimuli, even outside the training ground can be a long time to cause the dog fear. This applies particularly to a timid and sensitive animals.

Set the reason for the dog suddenly began to experience the fear of some object or phenomenon, is difficult. It is therefore necessary to think about how not to put her in a situation in which she could be such associations.

Criteria for assessing the state of the dog after the training – is an assessment of its behavior to 6 major criteria:

- Save / infringement usual mode of the day;
- The presence of stereotyped actions, including bark;
- Save / behavioral disorders comfort (grooming, washing);
- Save / breach of play;
- Save / disruption of normal mood;
- Save / violation interest to the world.

Criteria were developed by International Society domestic animal (IGN) in 1998, Breach of Conduct on these items suggests that exercise causes the animal significant pain and should be terminated immediately.

Coach
We like to consider a coach standing alone for what he called himself a coach. However, the coach can call myself one, regardless of their professionalism. Experience the coach about anything not said, because methods of training dogs with the end of 90 years have undergone major changes associated with the most important discoveries in the field of psychology of dogs. Therefore, a novice coach can be better than “experienced”, based their work on outdated knowledge.

Criteria for selecting a coach

- The coach must call, you and your dog’s personal affection. Your dog should be together with you to decide whether it wants to work with the coach, which you propose to her. If the dog is afraid of this man, this means that to achieve any results under his leadership will be hard! We must always remember that dogs – like humans – are divided into types of personalities. These types of individuals should approach each other on their energy. Otherwise, they will annoy each other, working together does not lead to expected results. For a dog trainer unsuitable (eg too energetic for timid dogs) – is a precondition that it will make a decision “lazy”, “stubborn”, “stupid” and so on., Which in turn will lead to negative consequences for her.

For those who are still skeptical about the concept of “personality type” as applied to dogs, there is another argument: the dog is able to distinguish between their “own man – one of those people will automatically feel the confidence! – It knows every “dog lover” from his own experience. For coaches act the same rule. Everyone knows from experience that some people feel at ease, and with others – once you start to get nervous, even though they have not done anything wrong.
- The coach should not be rude and abrupt. His voice should always be gentle and calm. The coach is under no circumstances should not yell at the dog, beat it, or punish in some other way.
- Keep in mind that modern training methods are based on contact with the dog. Best of all, if it works with the signals of reconciliation dogs. The coach who uses stun or strict collars, as well as other “tools” to control the dog, jumps over the leash, etc. signs in their professional incompetence, because new methods are not known to him, and he continues to treat the dog as a master with a slave. His methods are in some way cause the dog trauma which later become your personal problem.
- In addition, the coach shall in no case should focus on the old theory domination! (See the book by Hallgrim Alpha Syndrome: Leadership or unnecessarily cruel. “)
- He must ensure that the dog did not raise the state of the state of stress.
- A good coach does not put the dog excessive requirements that do not match her character, physical and mental capabilities, not ignoring its internal state (eg, stress, pregnancy, illness, etc.)..

Practice area
Who can best speak about as a coach and training ground? Of course, their own dog – and your own “sixth” sense.

The platform should be a place of joyful learning dog. The dog must go to the gym with confidence and without fear. It must not freeze in fear, trying to escape or show even any symptoms of fear at the sight of fields, coaches, etc.
The dog must come to the site quietly or even in a state of joyful expectation.
When you bring it to the ground with many other dogs, as a rule, it can cause a dog’s stress, because it suddenly turns out to be among the many dog personalities that it may cause unpleasant or fear. Dogs are also reluctant to where before they were already dozens if not hundreds, of other dogs, because the land in this place is overrun with scents that are also a potent stimulus for the dog – a source of stress.

- After the class, they both should not be irritated – no dog, nor you themselves.
- As a result of training the dog should not be changed for the worse (ie, the dog should not receive chronic irritation, stress, bad habits, change normal behavior for the worse, etc.). Otherwise, you must stop training. Spoiled behavior says about wrong teaching methods.

Methods Training
It is fashionable to offer soft, non-violent form of training. However, it should be noted that this refers not only to beat the dog, but to talk to her on her tongue! Therefore, the coach rightly expect to use the following types of communication with the dog:
- Body language (the signals of reconciliation);
- Sound communication (calm, friendly voice, correct intonation);
- Communication of body position and facial expression (eg, body position, the coach influences the reaction dogs: a frozen, motionless figure of a coach with his arms spread, frightened dog, and facial expressions should not be frozen, and aggressive, the coach should be able to control the angle of his body and skill to apply it in training);
- Tactile communication (for example, do not touch the dog during training, because your dog touches like additional commands that you can knock it confusing, the touch should be soft, quiet movement and a move towards the bottom-up).

Bad methods of organizing training
We are not talking about rudeness and violence against the dogs – it goes without saying. I mean those factors which may not be immediately apparent when visiting the area entirely. But these factors are very important. Typically, the owners of dogs and see them: in the training, and in general from attending dog school they gain an intuitive feel uncomfortable, which many owners suppress the thought that it should be.
I myself went through this feeling, but blamed himself for that too lazy to drive your dog to school.
Many times I was present at the training field, and every time I had the uneasy feeling that at first I could not explain. The reason for this was the very situation: a constant nervous barking of dogs, which twitched with excitement at the circuit, a hard voice coach, dirt under their feet. Thank God I did not have to be present in the application of severe penalties – they seem to have come out of “fashion”. I do not like the fact that in bad weather forced the entire dog training knead the mud – do not think that dogs do not care where they are forced to sit or lie down! On some sites after training, which was attended by about two dozen dogs and owners at the same time (how stressful for any dog!), The hosts were tied to trees and animals were entertained in the cafe. All this would not be bad if the dog is not moaning and howling in unison to have their trees! Why do some dog lovers refused to see that their pets in this situation is bad, although they were sorry, even passers-by.
His feelings, I was able to express only when met with an alternative.

Good examples organizing training
The most successful coaches of the world (Tyurid Rugos, Patricia McConnell, Anders Hallgrim, Clarissa y. Reinhard) and their disciples – it is intelligent, nice people, quiet and soft. The basis of their professional knowledge – as a rule, biology and psychology of animal behavior and psychology of people. The secret of their expertise lies in the special sensitivity to body language the dog, to the slightest change in mood of the animal. Therefore, they are able to flexibly adjust the course of training under the condition of the animal and its ability.

Before you begin training, they give the dog a few hours until she got used to the training field and coach. Practice area (open or closed) differs clean coating that eliminates dirt, even in the rain. If it is indoors then the dog can find her interesting for themselves objects – toys, hidden goodies, water. All this creates an atmosphere of friendliness, and sets the dog on a quiet way. In the first few hours visiting a dog training ground merely studying it as she pleases. At this time, the coach looks like a dog manifests itself: it is calm or nervous, she wondered whether environment or indifferent to it, etc. It manifests itself in the master: how it communicates with the dog, for example, quietly and confidently or cautiously and nervously? Prior to the workout the coach asks the owner of a number of issues relating to the origin dog, its nature, problems, social conditions, the regime of the day, and so on. He is also interested in the relationship and the dog owner. The whole concept of the school is built on the normalization of the behavior of dogs in general, creating a harmonious relationship and the dog owner, training to perform the necessary commands. In the studies often involved the family dog.
Only after this plan for training, including classes in school, and “homework”.

Boss …
… probably confused by so many nuances. He must ask himself the question: does all this so important?
Yes, it’s really important for a dog – a very sensitive organism, which in varying degrees, reacts to the surroundings, and for any mistakes in handling the dog will have to pay yourself. Of course, the perfect coach – a rarity, so any responsible owner can not do without basic knowledge of your dog: the stress, her communication skills, psychology, education, etc., to at least do not make fatal mistakes.

A dog breed that originated in Germany during the 17th century was made famous by its monkey-like expression. This little terrier type dogs was in fact dubbed as Monkey Dog. In France, breed enthusiasts lovingly call the dog Diablotin Moustachu which means mustached little devil. This breed was originally developed to be a rodent catcher. As such, the dogs are usually seen in barns, stables and kitchen chasing rodents away.

This breed though apart from showing an extraordinary intelligence is noted to be affectionate and to have a clownish nature. The Affenpinscher is the dog for you, if your choice for a pet is a dog that will provide the family with comic relief. The dog is a showoff and would take every opportunity to catch anyone’s attention. Therefore it is not surprising for this barn occupant to gain access not only to the homes but also to the laps of its adoring owners. However, this dogs has a cunning personality. The astute dog can play up and take advantage of the master’s weaknesses. For so small a dog, it can exploit the family’s weak spots and in no time would conquer the entire household. An Affenpinscher certainly makes a wonderful and ideal family companion but owners have to be aware of the dog’s domineering personality. A spoiled Affenpinscher can easily develop into a little tyrant. An Affenpinscher that cannot have its way will be in a huff all day. The dog is small but it will attack if teased by strangers. The tough personality that earned this dog the “mustached little devil” name can be corrected with consistent firm training and lots of loving care.

An Affenpinscher belongs to the toy dog breed . This breed would be an ideal choice for an owner living in an apartment. Potential owner though has to realize that not like other toy breeds, an Affenpinscher has considerable exercise requirements. This breed must be allowed to exercise daily. Be aware that an Affenpinscher is a highly energetic breed. Apart from the cuddly size, an Affenpinscher forms a strong bond with its human family so that family members may take turns in cuddling the dog. A bored and inactive Affenpinscher will become a horrible destructive pet. Properly cared for and correctly trained, an Affenpinscher will be an ideal pet that will never cease to provide the family with loving and devoted companionship.

These excellent hunting dogs were highly valued in their country of origin. The British landed gentry utilizes these dogs to hunt foxes. On a fox hunt, packs of American Foxhounds will chase the prey while hunters follow on horseback. Hunters will know if a prey is found by the change in the melodious barking of the hounds. New World settlers utilize the dog in the same manner. However, because of the ferocious tenacious nature, it was rumored that the dogs were utilized by the English military commanders to track and hunt Indians.

The crossing between English Hounds and the dogs of Irish and French settlers resulted to the development of a new breed – the American Foxhound. The American Foxhound, a versatile breed of dog was born.

An American Foxhound is basically a hunting dog. This dogs would love nothing more than to hunt. This breed is equipped with a sensitive scenting ability, strength and stamina and a strong prey drive. Once this dog has found an interesting scent nothing can stop the dog from trailing the prey. Foxes are the usual quarry of American Foxhounds but these dogs hunts other animals too.It is not surprising if this breed is on the top list most valued hunting dogs.

American Foxhounds are highly valued for their excellent hunting abilities. Although the dogs exhibit a courageous and tenacious temperament when hunting, American Foxhounds have a sweet and gentle personality. American Foxhounds have gained a reputation for being courageous and tenacious hunters but in the company of its human family the dogs turn into gentle well mannered companions. This breed of dogs gives its loyalty and friendship not only to one person. An American Foxhound loves all the members of the family but the dogs are noted to be especially friendly and affectionate with the children.

Dog joint pain is known as a form of pain that a dog is going through on his joints. Joint pains becomes common is dogs as they grow old.
Dog joint pain affects the internal organs of your pet, for that reason you will find it uneasy to detect it. So the only way to notice it is to carefully observe your dog. Any change in the way your dog walks may be a sign that he is feeling pains in his joints

Also take note of the dog’s appendages. Thickened or swollen appendages can be indicating a case of joint pain.

I have listed below 7 things you can do to help your dog out in case he is suffering from joint pain:

1. Give him an adequate diet: Vitamins and minerals are important in the health of your dog. Your dog’s food is the first thing to look out for when trying to alleviate the joint pains. That said, do not allow your dog to eat more than what he needs. Heavier dogs will definitely go through a very bad time dealing with their joint pain.

2. Replace the stairs with a ramp: Dogs having pains around their joints find it difficult to climb stairs, giving him a dog ramp can help reduce the stress on the joints.

3. Don’t forget to exercise your dog: The pain in the joints is not a excuse to stop exercising. Daily adequate exercise can help improve the condition of your dog. That said, avoid putting pressure on your dog. It is important to divide the daily exercise routine into basic simple smaller ones that your dog can do, one at a time. Taking your dog out for a walk, for example, is a really good idea.

4. It is a good idea to reward your dog with healthy, vitamin rich treats that are good for hip and joint development.

5. Offer him a good bed to lie on: Orthopedic beds are very soft smooth beds that help alleviate joint pains. You should consider getting one.

6. You should also consider massaging your dog: Massaging dogs’ joints is also known to help alleviate the joint pains. Make sure you do it very gently. If you keep massaging your dog on a regular basis, after some few weeks to a few months you may start seeing good results.

7. Do not put wooden/tiled floors around the dog’s environment: Because wooden and tiled floors are very smooth the dog may find himself in trouble trying to walk on those types of floor. Keep them away from him.

Remember to be use a lot of patience when dealing with your dog. Dog Joint Pain can make your dog responses so slow you may end up losing patience. Don’t forget to treat your dog well, He is in pain, remember. Understandthat he will not be able to walk and run like a regulardog anymore.

The very easysteps listed above can trulyhelp when it comes to alleviating your dog’s joint pain. It is not recommendedto buy pain relief medicine as they are known to cause severe side effect.

Choose the kind of food that has ingredients different from the previous one. Be careful not to share the food that is supposed to be eaten by humans with the dog. You should know that food for humans is made of certain elements that may not be good for the health of your dog.

You should be expecting a lot of pollen during the spring but during the fall it is rather the molds and decaying leaves that are around. In case your dog is suffering from pollen allergies, you should wash them with some dishwashing detergent to get rid of the pollen falling on their fur during the spring.

Chemicals in your household may contain certain substances that are not good to your dog’s health. It is always better to use organic cleaning agents at home as they have less potential to cause allergies both to the dog and also humans.

You may not know but maybe it’s the shampoo the problem, sometimes it is better to try another one and see what happens. Each dog being very unique nobody knows which shampoo is better, you will have to try yourself the different ones in the market and see which one is better for your dog, its a trial and error thing. The advice is to usually try natural once first.

There have been cases where adding up different type of flea preventative has ended up in an allergic reaction. You should see a doctor immediately if you have to practicing that method.
